Extreme Sports

Young people should be allowed to do extreme sports. Extreme sports give opportunities for kids and kids don’t get hurt unless they put themselves is danger.

Extreme sports help to not be bored. Instead to test their abilities and to use it for other purposes. Jamie Burr, professor of exercise physiology, says “It’s the opportunity to escape boredom, test their abilities, and overcome fears”. Kids want to do this, they want to take it to the extreme. Kids want to achieve their own goals. As he said, children want to escape boredom.

Another reason is Extreme sports only cause damage if the child puts himself/herself in danger. Jamie Burr also says” A doctor wouldn’t suggest that a person injured or killed in a car crash should have anticipated the accident because he or she was engaged in an inherently dangerous activity”. Even in public we make mistakes is what he was trying to say. Accidents would only happen if the child would try something dangerous. The coach knows what he is doing a knows when the kid puts himself in danger.

Van Sabesan, associate professor, says” we found that more than 9 million such injuries occur between 2001 to 2011” However Jamie said in his article, ”risk is a fact”

In conclusion we have two sides; either take a risk for your child to be something he wants to be, or leave him at home playing videogames. Jamie says, “Risk-free activities deprive young people of the opportunity to test themselves.
