Johnny

I was asleep when I noticed the nurse was trying to wake me up but I apparently had no response. She said it had taken about ten minutes to wake me up, but I hadn't noticed or remembered a thing. She gave me my meds and checked my  temperature. Then she asked "Johnny would like to see a guest". She never said who, but I knew it had to be the gang. So I said "Sure." She told me "Alright just a minute." I waited. And a lady entered my room, I did't quite recognize her but I knew I didn't like her. She started talking I wasn't really listening. I was trying real hard to figure out who she was. I finally remembered. I was my mom. I wasn't happy to see her. I wondered why she was even here, what did she want? Finally said "What." After she had probably been talking for about twenty minutes. She said "you see this is why we don't like you around at home Johnny, you never listen, you never do anything right, you wouldn't be here if you weren't so dumb." I wanted to yell, but I could barely  even talk. I managed to not cry. I just sat and stared at her, I felt useless and lousy. I couldn't do anything till either nurse came to make her leave or she just ran out of things to say. She started to yell. The only thing I could understand was "Johnny I can't believe you are such a useless delinquent, you are never aloud back home don't even try to come back, you’re a shame to us." It hurt me but I was glad I didn't have to go back. The nurse came in and took her away. The nurse started to ask what happened but I shook my head. I didn't want to talk about it in fear I would cry. She left.

A nurse appeared in the doorway. ''Johnny'', she  said quietly, ''Your mother's here to see you.'' Johnny opened his eyes . At  first they were wide with surprise, then they darkened. ''I don't want to see her,'' he said firmly. '' She's your mother.''  '' I said i don't want to see her.'' His voice rising. ''She probably came to tell me about all the trouble i'm causing her and about how glad her and the old man'll be when I'm dead. Well tell her to leave me alone. The nurse let my mom in ''Johnny it's me your mother.'' Johnny mother says. '' I don't care leave me alone I hate you go away.'' Johnny says.''Don't talk to me that way I am your mother I have the right to see you.''
''I hate you so much all you do is yell at me and dad does is get drunk and beat me and you wont ever believe me now leave me alone and never come.'' before he could finish he passed out cold the nurse hurried us out the door. 

FRANNY

    Pony boy is a greaser, long hair, carries a pocket knife, and does not like to fight son of parent who died in a car accident, who loves to live life freely, who feels he has a hard life compared to the socs, who needs his parents because he really misses them, who gives love to his friends, they get along pretty well because he is the youngest in the greasers, who fears he will die or get jumped by the socs, who would like to see his parents who lives in a poor area they are really poor and have no money and his last name is Curtis.

Jonny’s mom came to see him and Jonny didn’t want to see his mom but the nurse let her come in and as I left all I could hear is,

“Jonny what did you do? And where the hell have you been?” Jonnys mom said

“Don’t even like you care about me, I told the nurse I didn’t want to see you and I meant it. I hate you so much.” Said Jonny

“Jonny don’t you ever talk like that to me ever again. I am your mom I have a right to come see you if I want you will never tell me what I can and can’t do you got me boy.”

“I HATE YOU SO MUCH ALL YOU DO IS SREAM AND YELL AND ALL DAD DOES IS GET DRUNK AND BEAT ME AND YOU WONT EVEER BELIEVE ME I NEVER WHAT TO TLK TO YOU EVER AGAIN LEAVE ME ALONE AND NEVER COME BACK I HATE YOU.”

 

Johnny’s mom came to visit him and she tells the nurse his name and the nurse lets her in the room and Johnny’s reaction is “Mom what are u doing here.” “Johnny I came here to see u and how you are doing and I want to see u and your dad loves you. You know that right.” “Mom can you tell da that I love him to and always will.” Then Johnny’s mom left and then all of us went to go see him and hang out and see how he’s doing.

Jonny's POV

The nurse was at the door saying that someone was here to see me I couldn't see who was behind her in tell I heard a familiar voice... It was my mother. "why is she here? she shouldn't be here." Im your mother I may not seem like I care about you but I do." Then a women came in the room she had brown hair, blue eyes, she was wearing a dress that was black. It was my mother. she had came an seen me for some reason, why though?  "I just want to see if your ok" she said. "I'm fine mom, why are you really here?" I had a feeling that there was something wrong when she came but know I'm just thinking its because what mother doesn't come an visit her kid in the hospital. She just wants to pretend she cares know. then someone distract me from my thought by saying "I just wanted to see if you were ok." "I'm fine mom you don't have to come. Why do you care anyways?" then my mom said "Because your my child and I care about if you safe or not." Then my eye widen, was this just and act or was this real? It had to be and act, right? She didn't really care about me, right? "if you don't want to see me ill leave." my mom said, "I told you I didn't want to see you, goodbye mom"
Did I make the right choose? Did I say the wrong thing? I didn't I just didn't want to see her for the pain she's already put me in.

 

 If Johnny had seen his mother, he and she would have a large talk about the things that have been happening with him and why he had killed bob the Socs. I think Johnny would have been seriously mad and wanting to maybe cuss his mom out that he isn’t a baby. His mom would want to be near Johnny and not stop worrying about him. His mom would probably say, “Why didn’t you take care of your smoking habit. I was worried about you and you should have called. You are not a grown man yet. Now look where you are. In bed for life.” Maybe Johnny would tell his mom that he doesn’t know if he was gonna make it and that he feel nothing below his waist.

A nurse appeared in the door way with Johnny's mom. Johnny's mom asked if she could talk to him alone. Dallas and I left although we didn't want to. After I closed the door Dallas and I stood outside the door and listened to their conversation. She went on about how stupid he was for risking his life like that. After she called him a few other names she opened the door and walked out. As she left she glance in our direction. Her eyes were full of nothing but hatred. I now saw why Johnny disliked her.

The Outsiders Response

 

 

 

    When he didn’t want to talk to his mom and the doctor wouldn’t let her in is because he might of thought he would be mad at him. He probably didn’t want to go out there because he might of thought he would go out there and she would just tell him how bad he did and how much he is putting her through and how much trouble he is in and he didn’t want to go out there either. What he didn’t want is for her just to put him down. He thinks all she cares about is the bad things. He has been in a lot of trouble people say he is just a trouble maker and he didn’t want his mom to come in there and just yell at him and that is also why he didn’t want to go out there with her and the nurse.

They would be talking to each other in loud voices arguing over everything. "Why do you have to be my son." " Why did you always treat me like crap." then they would probably get in a fight with each other screaming and yelling at each other in frustration . Then they hug each other after they are done arguing and screaming. She would say she loved him and she would say it back to him.

if the nurse was to let the mother in the mother would slap him and say your such a disappointment why would you risk your life for some random kids that you don't even know? and I heard you killed someone are you stupid? she slaps him again. why would you do that you are not ever welcome back home. do you have any clue how much dough this is gonna cost us im not claiming you as my child your name now is joe rand never say your one of my children ever again! she pulls the plug on his meds and he comes closer and closer to death then the boys see and two-bit tackled the mother and ponyboy plugged the cord back in and yelled for the nurse and when the nurse gets in it is too late and he was gone

                   When Johnny's mom came instead if the nurse let him in I think that she would of went in there and told him how stupid he was and how bad of a mistake he made but then I also think that she would of been  scared for him or at least that she would show some type of care instead of not caring because its still her son in the hospital that got severely injured.  I also think that she would of maybe went out and to go through with him and maybe they would try to find some type of way to get along with him and maybe try and be there for him since she wasn't because mainly this happened because she was never there for him she really didn't care what he did or where he was but now instead she just comes to visit him out of no where.

The nurse walks in and says, “Johnny your mother is here to see you.”

I lay in shock trying to figure out what to say as I spit out the words, “Come in.” I see a lady with dark brown hair walk in with a small smile on her face as if she’s happy to see me or something.

She looks at me and says, “You’re all over the newspaper’s, you’re a hero for saving those kids.”

I try to think of something to say but all I can do is just sit there and just think , how could someone who don’t even care about me come to see me when I’m on the verge of dying.

“How are you feeling?” she says to me.

 “Horrible.” It really put me in shock that she is here in the same room as I am when I can’t even be in the same house as her and the Oldman.

“No matter what I’m still your mother and I still love you no matter what the past is.”

I let those words sink in, “I love you.” Before I’m able say anything I couldn’t sit up or barley breath and the nurse rushed me out.

A nurse appeared in the doorway. "Johnny" she said quietly "your mother is here to see you." Johnny opened his eyes to see his mother standing there he said " What do you want." She said "Johnny look at what you did now we have to deal with all of this." He looked at her with a grim look and said "Why don't you just leave." She looks at him for awhile with disgust and then leaves but when she leaves she looks at Ponyboy and Two-bit and says "You and all of your friends did this and now I'm the one who has to deal with it." Two-bit goes to say something but before he does I stop him.
