A nurse appeared in the doorway. "Johnny" she said quietly "your mother is here to see you." Johnny opened his eyes to see his mother standing there he said " What do you want." She said "Johnny look at what you did now we have to deal with all of this." He looked at her with a grim look and said "Why don't you just leave." She looks at him for awhile with disgust and then leaves but when she leaves she looks at Ponyboy and Two-bit and says "You and all of your friends did this and now I'm the one who has to deal with it." Two-bit goes to say something but before he does I stop him.

The Outsiders

The Greasers have it worse then the Socs. Greasers have less money then the Socs. Ponyboy said, “Even if they did have their own troubles, I really couldn’t see what Socs would have to sweat about-good grades, good cars, good girls, madras and Mustangs and Corvairs- Man, I thought, if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky. (Ponyboy, page 36). The Greasers are the lower ones when it comes to money the live paycheck to paycheck and can’t buy things like Corviars and Mustangs or even good clothes.

Some may argue like Cherry Valance that things are rough all over. However Cherry and the Socs can buy luxury items and have good clothing and money to go places. The Greasers can’t do any of that. In conclusion the Greasers have it worse then the Socs.

In the book catching fire there are many acts of defiance and here are some of them.

For Katniss’s private session she hung a dummy with Seneca Crane’s name on it. On page 238 Katniss say’s “the effect is immediate and satisfying. Several let out small shrieks”. This shows us that it is defiant because of their reaction.

For Peeta private session he painted a picture of Rue. On page 238 it say’s “That sort of thing is forbidden. You’ll only bring down more trouble on yourself. This tells us that everyone knows it’s rebellious.

During the tributes interviews they talked badly about snow. On page 251 Johanna asks “can’t something be done about the situation.” This shows that she is questioning snow.

Cinna turns the wedding dress that snow approved into a Mockingjay. On page 253 Katniss thinks “what has he done something terribly dangerous. An act of rebellion itself. Katniss is worried because he is promoting the rebellion on national Tv.

I feel like Cinna’s is the most defiant because he did it so everyone could see it.

I enjoy school

Over the years, my attitude about school has been the same. When I was younger I felt that school was fun because I saw all my friends and the work was easy back then, my favorite part of the school day was lunch because I saw my friends and got to eat. When it came to school, my biggest worry was having a bad grade because I  don't like having bad grades.

Now that I'm in my final year of middle school I feel the same about school because I've always enjoyed it. Now, my favorite part of the school day is still lunch because I get to see more of my friends. Now, when it comes to school, my biggest worry is failing algebra because that's the first grade on my high school transcript.


When I'm a freshman in high school next year, I'll probably feel the same about school because I'm prepared for high school.
