Ponyboy statement is more realistic because he believe the Socs get all the breaks. Greaser have it harder than Socs. On page 36 Ponyboy says ‘’even if they did have their own troubles I really couldn’t see what Socs would have to sweat about good grades, good cars ,good girls, madras and mustangs and Corvairs - man, I thought if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky.’’ The Socs couldn’t have that bad of problems as the greases do because of what they have cars girls etc.                                                                           Some may argue that Cherry’s statement is more realistic because cherry believes ‘’ things are rough all over’’. However that maybe true the greasers struggle more because they don’t have all the money and can’t afford all nice things.                                                The greasers have it way harder than the Socs because of money wise and want they can get and how they live. Even though the Socs have problems themselves there not as bad as the greaser.

Catching Fire Defying the Capitol

                                             In the book Catching Fire there are many acts of defiance towards President Snow. Act of defiance is a daring or bold resistance to authority or an opposing force; an act that challenges of power. Some people in the book that are defiance are Katniss, Peeta ,Cinna and the tributes.                                                                                                           

               Katniss hangs a dummy with Seneca Cranes name on it for her private session . Katniss knows Senec died as a result of her actons in the games she is reminding snow that she beat the system last time. On page 212 Katniss did it to show “them that im more then just a piece of their games”. This shows that she is done letting the game makers and snow control her.

               Peeta paints Rue with her body covered with flowers from the first games . This will remi nd snow, the gamemakers they are responsibly for Rues death. On page 240 Peeta did it to show “I just wanted wanted to hold them accountable , if only for a moment”.

                              The tributes in their interviews , they question the logality of the games . They say snow could stop the games but wont. They are blaming Snow on live television . They are turning the capitol citizen against Snow . On page 251 Seeder said it “quietly ruminates abour how back in district 11 everyonr assumes president Snow is all powerful . so if he is so powerful why doesn’t he change the Quell?”   Seeder only said this because he wants to change or stop the QuarterQuell.

                                             Cinna turned katniss’s wedding dress that snow picked out into a mockingjay .He turned her dress into a symbol of the rebellion. The dress back fired on the capitol. On page 253 “a shadow of recognition flickers across Caesars face and I can tell he knows that the mockingjay isn’t just a token . It come to a symbolize so much more “ Cinna did it to show president Snow the mockingjay is still a symbol o love.

                              In conclusion , I think Cinna was more defiant towards president snow because he turned katniss wedding dress into a mockingjay. A symbol of love still.
