If Johnny’s mother came in, he would probably wish he died in that fire. His mother would probably tell him how weak he was and tell him she wished he died. That’s what might happen if his mother came in to see him.

who has the harder life

Between Cherry and Pony boy I think the greasers have life a whole lot harder than the socs. One reason is because the greasers always have to put up with the socs constantly messing with them and trying to kill them sometimes. Another reason is the greasers are poorer than the socs and sometimes have to steal. On page 36 Pony boy says, “Even if they did have their own troubles, I really couldn’t see what the socs would have to sweat about, good grades, good cars, and mustangs. Man I thought if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky.” Some may argue that socs have troubles of their own. However the greasers have to deal with more problems than them. In conclusion the greasers have a harder life than the socs.

stop bullying

Hello, my name is Katie Mowry, and I want to talk about bullying. When someone is being bullied, it can really hurt them. Bullying can be anything from teasing to harassing or even physically hurting them as well as threatening to hurt them. Bullying can be done by one or more people. Bullying is never ok, it can really make someone feel really bad and sometimes they hurt themselves. The best way to stop it is by telling someone you trust to help, or if you see bullying then stick up for them, because it can really help them. Help stop bullying. IT STOPS NOW!!

Should kids do extreme sports?

Physical activities are great for health, so should kids do extreme sports too? Kids should do extreme sports. One reason is that it increases kid’s maturity. Jamie Burr, the professor of exercise physiology, university of Prince Edward Island, Canada says ‘’ Children may lack maturity.’’ Children may lack maturity they are supposed to have. That’s why by doing these sports, they increase their maturity. This is because it lets them take risks and it’s a great skill to have. Another reason is it helps them overcome fears. Jamie Burr also says ‘’ It helps kids escape boredom, overcome fears, and test themselves.’’ Extreme sports are an opportunity to overcome fears. This is because when kids start developing risk taking skills, it gives them more courage to face fears such as heights. Some may argue that many kids can get really hurt and sometimes die. However, if kids have the right coach and practice then they can prevent these injuries. In conclusion Extreme sports can be good for kids if they are smart about it.

 

CATCHING FIRE: ACTS OF DEFIANCE

In the book ‘’Catching fire’’, some of the characters do things that are defiant to the capital. What the first character, Katniss, did that was defiant was she hung a dummy with the name ‘’Seneca Crane’’ on it to show the capital that because of her actions that she is now dead. This also tells snow that she is not just a piece of the games and will not be controlled. Another character named Peeta  painted a picture of Rue to make sure the capital feels bad for her death. All of the tributes also rebelled when they all held hands together which is defiant because snow wants the tributes to hate and fight each other. Then Katnisses stylist Cinna turned snows wedding dress for Katniss into a mocking jay. Cinnas act was probably most defiant because the mocking jay is a symbol of rebellion. Those are the acts of defiance all the characters did.

 

THE HUNGER GAMES CHAPTER 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The first thing that has changed in Katniss's life is when Gale started working in the mines. they couldn't go hunting together. Before the hunger games,  Katniss and Gale could go hunting in the woods together every day. But now that the games are over everyone hates her and Gale is working in the mines. Katniss does not like the change of her and Gale not being together or being able to hunt together.
