    Pony boy is a greaser, long hair, carries a pocket knife, and does not like to fight son of parent who died in a car accident, who loves to live life freely, who feels he has a hard life compared to the socs, who needs his parents because he really misses them, who gives love to his friends, they get along pretty well because he is the youngest in the greasers, who fears he will die or get jumped by the socs, who would like to see his parents who lives in a poor area they are really poor and have no money and his last name is Curtis.

         I agree with Pony boy because he says that the socs get all the breaks. The reasons are that pony boy believes that the socs get all the breaks compared to the greasers.

     According to Pony boy on page 11 only socs. “And you can’t win against them no matter how hard you try, because they’ve got all the breaks and whipping them is not going to change that fact”.

    What I think is that the socs have a hard life to but not like the greasers because they are the ones that get bullied by the socs. Reason two is that the socs are the highest in the town and are above the greasers.

     According to Pony boy “even if they did have their own troubles, I really can’t see what socs would have to sweat about –good grades, good cars, good girls .madras and mustangs and corvairs-man, I thought, if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky”.

       I mean in my opinion if you have all those nice things you are lucky and have a better life than people who don’t have those things.

     Cherry may argue “we have troubles you’ve never even heard of’’.

    However if the socs have a hard life it might not be harder than the greasers life because the greasers don’t have all those nice thing that the socs have.

    So there you have it why the greasers have a harder life than the socs.

CATCHING FIRE BOOK BY FRANCISCO M VALDEZ

In the book, Catching Fire there has been many rebellion acts against the capitol and president snow, so here are some act of rebellion that shouldn’t of have happened.                                                    On page 236-237, it says ‘’I drag one of the target dummies out into the middle of the room and using some chinning bars and hanging it by its neck’ ’She’s reminding them of what happened last time, she caused Seneca’s crane death and this act of defiance was done by Katniss.

       Another act of defiance was done by Peeta on page 240, It says ‘’I just wanted to hold them accountable, If only for a moment for killing that little girl’ ’He is showing the game makers that they are responsible for her death.

       Another was done by the tributes on page 258, It says ‘’And then it happens up and down the row the victors begin to join hands, In the confusion they didn’t cut us off in time, everyone has seen’ ’This shows that the tributes are a team and that they are sticking together.

          One last act of defiance I have for you was done by Cinna. On page 253, Katniss thinks, ‘’what has he done? Something terribly dangerous. An act of rebellion in its self’’. Katniss is worried because the mocking jay is an act or symbol of rebellion and Cinna has turned her into a mocking jay.

           I think that president snow found the tributes holding hands more defiant because that showed that the tributes cared about each other and that they are team.

         Over the years, my attitude about school has improved. When I was younger I felt that school was not necessary because I felt that I was not learning anything but that was because I was not paying attention in school. Back then, my favorite part of the school day was the end of the day because we get out of school to relax. When it came to school, my biggest worry was the to talk in front of people because I have gloss phobia. Now that I'm in my final year of middle school I feel great about school because I learned a lot.Now,my favorite part of the school day is still the end of the day because I get to go home and relax. Now,when it comes to school, my biggest worry is to talk in front of people but I'm kind of used to it now. When I'm a freshman in high school next year,I'll probably feel like it was worth it that I started at kindergarten and made it all the way to high school.
