The Greasers have it worse then the Socs. Greasers have less money then the Socs. Ponyboy said, “Even if they did have their own troubles, I really couldn’t see what Socs would have to sweat about-good grades, good cars, good girls, madras and Mustangs and Corvairs- Man, I thought, if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky. (Ponyboy, page 36). The Greasers are the lower ones when it comes to money the live paycheck to paycheck and can’t buy things like Corviars and Mustangs or even good clothes.

Some may argue like Cherry Valance that things are rough all over. However Cherry and the Socs can buy luxury items and have good clothing and money to go places. The Greasers can’t do any of that. In conclusion the Greasers have it worse then the Socs.
