Should kids do extreme sports?


Physical activities are great for health, so should kids do extreme sports too? Kids should do extreme sports. One reason is that it increases kid’s maturity. Jamie Burr, the professor of exercise physiology, university of Prince Edward Island, Canada says ‘’ Children may lack maturity.’’ Children may lack maturity they are supposed to have. That’s why by doing these sports, they increase their maturity. This is because it lets them take risks and it’s a great skill to have. Another reason is it helps them overcome fears. Jamie Burr also says ‘’ It helps kids escape boredom, overcome fears, and test themselves.’’ Extreme sports are an opportunity to overcome fears. This is because when kids start developing risk taking skills, it gives them more courage to face fears such as heights. Some may argue that many kids can get really hurt and sometimes die. However, if kids have the right coach and practice then they can prevent these injuries. In conclusion Extreme sports can be good for kids if they are smart about it.
