Ponyboy statement is more realistic because he believe the Socs get all the breaks. Greaser have it harder than Socs. On page 36 Ponyboy says ‘’even if they did have their own troubles I really couldn’t see what Socs would have to sweat about good grades, good cars ,good girls, madras and mustangs and Corvairs - man, I thought if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky.’’ The Socs couldn’t have that bad of problems as the greases do because of what they have cars girls etc.                                                                           Some may argue that Cherry’s statement is more realistic because cherry believes ‘’ things are rough all over’’. However that maybe true the greasers struggle more because they don’t have all the money and can’t afford all nice things.                                                The greasers have it way harder than the Socs because of money wise and want they can get and how they live. Even though the Socs have problems themselves there not as bad as the greaser.
