In the book catching fire
there are a lot of acts of defiance towards the capitol. In this book the
tributes are mad at President Snow. An example of an act of defiance is that
Katniss hangs a dummy with Seneca Crane’s name on it.
On page 242 Katniss hung a
dummy with Seneca Crane’s name on it “to show that I’m more then just a piece
in their games.” This shows that she is done letting the game makers and snow
control her.
On page 240 “Actually, I painted
a picture of Rue.” “How she looked after Katniss covered her in flowers.” He did
this to show that because of the capitol Rue is dead.
On page 250-251 The tributes
question the legality of the games “Make him pay for it okay?” Johanna Mason
says. They are going against the capitol.
Cinna made Katniss’s wedding
dress that snow picked out into mocking jay. When she started to spin she
transformed into a mocking jay. And the mocking jay represent defiant actions.
I think that President Snow
would feel that that what Katniss did would be the most defiant. The other acts
of defiant are not as defiant because Katniss hung a dummy with Seneca Crane
name on it. That is why I think snow would feel that Katniss had the most
defiant act.
