The Ousiders- Paige

I sure hope you think that Greasers have it harder, because that’s what this is about. The Greasers have harder because Jonny’s parents don’t care about him and most of them they don’t have their parents anymore.

Jonny’s parents don’t care about him the only time they acknowledge his existence is when they are abusing him. He can go out at any time of the day or night and his parents wouldn’t notice or care because they don’t care about him. They don’t care if he’s out in the cold or in the hot, I could be the middle of the night and they wouldn’t care. He could be gone for weeks and they wouldn’t notice.

Most parents to all would shriek and yell if their kids left in the middle of the night  without telling them. Most would freak if their child suddenly disappeared for days on end but most kids wouldn’t do that so it’s troubling to know that parents don’t know or care where their child is.

Like Ponyboy some of the greasers don’t have parents or we never hear of em. Like Jonny Darry’s dad doesn’t care about him and ignores him and all of the trouble he get’s into. Without their parents most of the greasers don’t have anyone to tell them right from wrong.

Children need some kind of authority figure in their life otherwise stuff like this happens but most people don’t understand that children tend to learn most of what they know from their parents so they don’t care when their parents don’t, their parents drinks they might tend to drink as well because that’s what they’ve learned.

Some may argue these topics but they wouldn’t understand. However if you view it as I do you’d understand that little kid’s tend to learn most of what they’ve learned from their parents so they wouldn’t know the difference from right or wrong if their parents didn’t teach them until they had to learn it the hard way.
