In class we are reading catching fire and we are talking about defiance.Defience is a daring or bold resistance to authority or an opposing force or act that changes power. Here are some of the most defying acts in the book.

In Katniss private session with the game makers she hung a dummy with Seneca cranes name on it .on page 236 ‘’ she said in her head do u have any idea how much I hate you? You who have given your talents to the games.’’ She is reminding the game makers that she out smarted the game maker and she was the cause of Seneca cranes death.

Another act of defiance is when peta in his interview with the capitol people said Katniss was pregnant ‘’even the most capital loving game hung blood thirsty person can’t ignore how horrific the whole thing is’ ‘on page 255 this is an act of defiance because he is trying to turn the capitol against snow.

Another act of defiance is when the tributes are having there interviews they talk trash about snow on page 251 chaff says ‘’the precedent could change the quell if he wanted to but he must not think it matters much to anyone’’ this is an example of defiance because he is talking about snow on television on television for everyone to see.

Another act of defiance is Cinna turns Katniss’s dress in to a mocking j on page 253 Katniss wonders ‘’what has he done? Something terribly dangerous’’ is an act of defiance some people find this sign offending and Cinna knows snow wont ignore this.

Snow would find Cinna’s act of defiance the worst because he turned the dress against snow and used it as a sign of rebellion and as a punishment snow killed Cinna.
