CATCHING FIRE

 

     In class we are reading Catching Fire we are talking about Defiance.

       

        One character that defies the capitol is Katniss Everdeen. She shows defiance by hanging a dummy with the name Seneca cranes name on it (Seneca crane was the old Gamemaker who got killed because Katniss out smarted him.) She is also implying that she could out smart you and you could be next.

 

        Another person who defies the capitol is a guy named Peeta malrk he defied the capitol because in his private session he panted a picture of rue (rue is the name of a girl who died in the first book). He did it because he wanted to remind the gamemakers that they caused a little girl in the games.

        More people who defied the capitol are the tributes. Because they all trashed President Snow in there private sessions.

 

        Another person who defied the capitol is Cinna he defied the capitol by turning the wedding dress that president Snow pick out in to a Mocking Jay (the Mocking Jay is a symbol of the rebellion)

 

        The second to last person is Peeta again. He announces that Katniss is pregnant and that they are already married (p.s. there not really married) it’s defiant because they weren’t supposed to get married.

 

        The last people is the tributes because they all held hands and what makes it defiant is they are supposed to hate each other.
