In class we are reading the hunger games
catching fire and talking about defiance. Defiance is an open resistance, bold
disobedience. On page 236 Katniss says “do you have any idea how much I hate
you”. On page 256 the crowed reacts to peetas news even the most capitol-loving
game hungry, blood thirsty person out there can’t ignore at least for one
moment how horrific the whole thing is. On page 253 Katniss says “what has she
done? Something terribly dangerous? Katniss knows president snow will not
ignore this. President Snow think is the most defiance is when the tributes all
hold hands, and when Cinna changes Katniss dress in to a mocking jay.
