Catching Fire

    In class we are reading Catching Fire .We are identifying what would be rebellious to snow.

    In katniss privet session she hung a dummy with Seneca Crane’s name on it. On pg. 242 Katniss says “To show them I’m more than just a piece in their games”. Katniss wants to prove that she knows a lot she shouldn’t know. She is defiant because she wants to remind the game makers that she out smarted them last games.

      In Peetas privet session he painted Rues body covered in flowers .This is defiant because he is showing respect for other tributes. On pg. 240 Peeta says “I just wanted to hold them accountable… for killing that little girl”. Peeta wants to show what they caused.

     During the interviews with the tributes the tributes are questioning the games, capitol laws, and snow. This is defiant because they are getting the people calling for change. On pg 251 the tributes make the crowed a wreck because in the crowed “people have been weeping and collapsing and even calling for change “. Snow wont be happy with this because he might think that the capitol wants to rebel.

 

   Cinna made Katniss wedding dress turn in to a mokingjay  on live television .On pg. 253 Katniss thinks “what have he done ?Something torridly dangerous” .She knows that Snow wont ignore this. This is defiant because Snow made her wear that dress and Cinna made it back fire on him and turned it in to a symbol of rebellion.

      I think that the tributes did was more defiant because it won’t only cause problems in the capitol but can also cause more uprising in the districts.
