In “Hunger Games Catching Fire “we learned
about acts of defiance, which is what my paper is about.
On page 242 Katniss hung a dummy and painted
Ceneca Crane on it. She did it to “show them that im more than just a piece in
their games. “ This shows that she is done letting the Gamemakers and Snow control
her.
On page 248 Peeta
told the capitol he and Katniss are married and Katniss is pregnant .Peeta[HK1]
did it again “Dropped a bomb that wipes out the efforts of every tribute who
came before him.” This is a attempt to stop the games.
On page 245 all the
tributes make a valiant attempt to stop the games . For example “Cashmere starts
to ball rolling with a speech about how she can’t stop crying when she thinks
of how the people in the capitol must be suffering “Witch is attempt to guilt
trip the capitol and stop the games.
On page 252 Katniss turns a mockingjay “clothed
in black except for white patches on my sleeves, or should I say my wings.
Because Cinna has turned me into a mockingjay. “This is rebellious because a
mockingjay was used against the capitol during the last rebellion.
I think Snow would
think all the tributes holding hands in unity would be the most defiant because
“ the first public show of unity among the districts since the dark days “
Witch symbolizes the districts joining together .
