   Ponyboy is more realistic because he believes that the greaser’s go through more problems than the socs. Ponyboy says “even if they did have their own troubles, I really couldn’t see what socs would have to sweat about, good grades, good cars, good girls, madras and Mustangs and corviars. Man, I thought, if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky.” Greasers are less fortunate, they don’t have enough money making them go through lots of troubles such as stealing, worries etc. They get jumped by socs making them have fear for them and their families. They really don’t have anything. Meanwhile socs yes they have problems but nothing compared to what socs go through. -sharquiqui
