The Outsiders Argument

I take Cherry side, because everybody has problems in their life some and worse than others and other are not as bad. But I also feel that the greasers have a couple more problems than the Socs. Yes they do have to worry about I couple things here and there. But the greasers have to worry about If they are safe to walk alone, if they’re going to get jumped by the Socs and they also carry a blade with the if there alone, I don’t think the Socs carry a blade with them because Dally says “And you can’t win against them no matter how hard you try, because they’ve got all the breaks and even whipping them isn’t going to change the fact.” So from Dally prospective the Socs have it easier than the greasers. Cherry says that “I’ll bet you think the Socs have it made. The rick kids, the West-side Socs. I’ll tell you something, Ponyboy, and it may come to you as a surprise. We have troubles you have never even heard of. You want to know something?” she looked at me straight in the eye. “Things are rough all over” page 34. But then it says what Ponyboy was thinking about the whole thing. His thoughts were “Even if they did have their own troubles, I really couldn’t see what Socs would have to sweat about-good grades, good cars, good girls, madras and Mustangs and Corvairs- Man, I thought, if I had worries like that I’d consider myself lucky. (Ponyboy, page 36). I can now see what Ponyboy is now talking about he doesn’t really know what to think about the Socs, because has never looked into the Socs life, just what’s on the outside. To Ponyboy there lives look perfect and it looks like they have nothing to worry about. But there could be many things wrong with the Socs they could have problems at their house, Grades and sports because the Socs are supposed to be perfect. The greasers have to worry about many things like I I had written before. I really don’t believe in just one of them they are both kind of right, yes there are a couple differences but when you think about it they have the same amount of struggles each. The Socs have to worry about being perfect and flawless but the greasers have to worry about whether it safe or not to walk home. But apart from all the things that you can clearly see. That was my The Outsiders Argument.
