Why things are rough all around.

 In the Outsiders, Pony boy believes that the Socs have it so much better than the Greasers. But in all reality its rough all around.

On page thirty four Cherry says that, “I bet you think the Socs have it made.” By this she means that it’s not the truth. There’s more than meets the eye. Pony isn’t going to see what the others in the Socs see. He’s not going to feel what they feel. Pony will never fully understand because he’s not the same as them. Just like Cherry won’t ever fully understand the greasers.

Also on page thirty four Cherry says, “Things are rough all around.” Cherry has a really good point almost everyone had at least one problem. For example they only took their anger out on the greasers. They hold emotion in. The greasers don’t. That and there income are really the only differences.

Pony might disagree that the socs have everything and not a worry in the world, but, Cherry knows the truth.

Pony and cherry don’t see eye to eye on this topic. But nothings perfect. Not even for the socs. They all have it rough in some places.
